Oil separates. It's normal.
When nuts are ground into nut butter, oils are released from the nuts. RX Nut Butters do not use stabilizers which is why you will find that the oil from the nuts will rise to the top. This separation naturally occurs in both the pouches and jars. Our nut butter contains egg whites and dates, two ingredients that make our product different from other nut butters out there.
The nut butter pouch packaging states to knead the packet before using, in order to redistribute these oils. We recommend doing this for 30 seconds or so, until you can feel that the oils are reincorporated.
We recommend using a butter knife or spoon to reincorporate the natural oils in our RX Nut Butter jars. Promise it's worth it.
